The Trend Analysis report will allow you to see historical trending for Review ratings, sub-ratings, social media metrics and response rates. View property group comparisons in corporate accounts and compare to your competition in property accounts.
To access this report, go to the Dashboard and click on the "Trend Analysis" link, located in the left-hand navigation.
For Property and Corporate accounts, you can adjust the report by selecting the report drop-down menu to filter by. The default is Total Reviews.
The other trend options are:
- Total Reviews
- Positive Reviews
- Recommended By (reviews where the guest has indicated that they would recommend the hotel)
- Overall Review Rating
- Cleanliness Rating
- Rooms Rating
- Service Rating
- Value Rating
- New fans on Facebook
- Updates on Facebook
- New followers on Twitter
- Updates on Twitter
- Total Review Responses (considering all reviews that allow for public management response)
- Overall Review Response Coverage (percentage of response coverage)
- Review Response Coverage on TripAdvisor
You can also filter by date. Use the Date Range drop-down menu to select the time frame of which you would like to view a Trend Analysis. Last view by Day, Week or Month.
Corporate Accounts:
For Corporate accounts, there is an additional filtering option - to filter by Property Groups. Use the Property drop-down menu to only see data for a specific property group.
Once you have selected your trending filters, the report will display a trending line graph at the top. For Property accounts, you can use the color-coded legend to the right of the line graph to include your competitor's lines.
Property Accounts:
For Property accounts, the report will display a side-by-side comparison of your daily performance against your comp set average, located just below the line graph. For example, in the report above, this property received 85.7% of positive reviews in this time period. They beat their comp set average, which is 70%. That average is calculated using the numbers to the right. Although they outperformed their comp set average that day, there were 2 competitors that received 100% positive reviews. For Corporate accounts, the report will display the daily performance of your Property Group.
