To connect your Facebook Page, you must have a Facebook account with "Admin" rights to your Facebook Page.
Once you have confirmed that your Facebook account is an administrator of your Facebook Page, simply follow these steps to link your account. You are able to link up to five accounts with Revinate. These steps are the same for both corporate and property. accounts
Connecting your Facebook Profile
To get started, you will connect your Facebook Page from Revinate by clicking the settings icon in the top right-hand corner of the page. (You must be logged in.) Then select "Linked Accounts."
Click on "ADD A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT."
Step 1
The system will prompt you to sign in to Facebook to connect to your Facebook account and will need to grant Revinate permission to update your Facebook page.
You will see a few Facebook Connect windows asking for each permission Revinate requires. For each window, simply click "Allow" (disallowing some permissions may result in the Revinate functionality not working correctly).
Facebook recognizes the email address that your hotel Facebook page was created with and will display your profile picture during the process. This simply identifies the personal user whose Admin permission is being used to generate the link token. After the link is made, Revinate does not retain any of your profile information; we simply affirm the user generating the link. You can link up to 5 Facebook accounts with Revinate.
Step 2
You will see a list of all the pages that you can link. Select the Page that you want to link to Revinate by clicking on the box next to the page you want to link. This is the page that you want Revinate to capture data from, which should be your hotel Facebook page. Then click Save.
Step 3
You are done. This step will direct you to the Revinate Scorecard to see where we are capturing all the stats on your linked accounts. It may take up to a day for us to start collecting data.
What if your Facebook page disconnects
If your Facebook page detaches after some time, you will need to check on the user rights of the person who connected the Facebook page.
This needs to be an Admin user or all 5 Roles of the classic version need to be assigned to the user. You may also review this article from Facebook about user roles.
