Permissions: All users can upload guest lists via email. Admin users can also upload guest lists manually, as described below.
Once you’ve formatted your guest list, the next step is to upload it to Revinate Surveys. To access the Guest List Upload utility, click on the “Guest List” button from Surveys tab.
This will take you to the Guest List page. If you have previously uploaded guest lists, you will see existing guest details below. If you are a first time user, the guest list table will be empty.
To upload a new guest list, click on the "Upload Guest List" button at the top right of the page.
A guest list window will appear. You will need to do the following:
- Click on “Choose File” to select the file you want to upload.
- Select the guest list file you have saved to upload.
- Click on the “Upload” button.
After clicking “Upload”, you will be taken to the “Import your Guest List” page. This page will assist you in confirming that you’re importing accurate guest information in the correct order. Make sure to check and ensure that column headers match the content uploaded below. For instance (first names are located under the first name column). If it’s incorrect, use the columns at the top to match the correct header with the data located below.
*Note: if you send more data than is required or utilized by Revinate Surveys, simply choose “Ignore” from the filters at the top so the data does not get imported.
If at this point you notice you need to make changes to your guest list, click on “Cancel” link to create a new file and upload again.
If you’re satisfied with the data and the headers, click on the “Import” button. Once you’ve imported the data if you notice an error or want to retract a list after it has been imported, click on the “Undo Last Import” link located at the top of the guest list table. The “Undo Last Import” enables you to remove the last set of records that had been imported.
After you’ve completed the import, you will be taken back to the Guest List management page and will receive confirmation of the import.

If your guest list was successfully uploaded without the presence of errors, your surveys are ready to be sent. If you’ve already configured your delivery settings and turned your survey on, your survey will be sent at the time you’ve specified. Otherwise, first-time users should click on “Survey” and choose “Email Settings”.
Here is where you can customize your delivery settings:
- Set the date and time as well as the time zone for the survey invite to be sent.
- Make sure to turn your survey on by checking the “Turn On” option.
- Determine how long before you want recurring guests to receive your survey.
- Determine if you want to send a Survey Thank You email.
