With the use of mobile devices, emails are often viewed and clicked on using phones and tablets. If you're including phone numbers in your email campaigns, it's possible to create a link within your email campaign that will dial a phone number.
Here is how we can create a Call to Action button that uses a phone number as a link:
Step 1.
Add a "Call to Action" button to your email, or locate the "Call to Action" button in your template and click on it.
Step 2.
On the right hand side of Email Composer, you should see a menu titled "Module Editor". Click on the radio button labeled "External" and click on the field underneath that button.
Step 3.
Type the prefix TEL: (including the colon) and follow it with the phone number. Make sure to write the phone number as you would dial it. For phone numbers outside of the US, make sure to sure to include country codes. For example, a number to Australia might look like this: +616170961709 (+ to dial out, and 61 = country code).
Step 4.
Scroll down to the bottom of the "Module Editor" window and select the "DONE" button.
