Qualified campaigns are available for PRO Marketing accounts and allow properties and groups to send recurring campaigns based on a guest qualifying to be added to a specific segment. Create flexible campaigns that send automated emails to guest for non-stay related events. These campaign types save time an effort for marketing and operations team, saving a property the time and effort of going through the campaign creation flow multiple times for individual guests as they become part of a segment. For information on segmentation see our help desk article on Segmentation.
Watch a training video on Qualification Campaigns here.
Qualification campaigns are a ‘triggered’ email campaign that a guest will receive only once, being sent when that guest is added to a segment after the campaign is activated. A Qualification campaign will not be sent to anyone else in the existing segment, only those newly added to the segment later, as would be the case with any other automated campaign.
Once you have created the qualification campaign it will be in a state of ‘pending’ while Revinate reviews all guests in its assigned segment to ensure duplicate emails are not sent. Once all guest in the segment have been checked the qualification campaign will display as ‘on’.
Use Case Examples
Examples of segments and trigger email a group or property may choose to use.
Double Opt-in: In the case of Double Opt-In Campaigns for GDPR compliance, a welcome email can be triggered once a guest double-opts in and is part of that segment.
Questionnaire or form submissions: For form submissions, based on specific guest preferences questionnaire responses an email can be triggered with special offers or a simple thanks.
Website signup: Triggered email may include discount codes or amenities promised in website marketing content.
Profile changes: The triggered email can be set to go out for any changes made to the guest profile as a one time email.
Loyalty: When a guest meets the specific criteria necessary for rewards, VIP or loyalty status
Setting up Qualification Campaigns
Go to the CAMPAIGNS tab and select CREATE CAMPAIGN to enter the campaign creation flow. Once there, go to the AUTOMATED CAMPAIGNS option and select the option label QUALIFICATION.
Go through the flow of creating a campaign as you would usually do. For information on how to create a campaign see our support article with a step by step guide for creating a campaign.
Name your Qualification campaign, create your design, select a segment and exclusions if necessary.
Once you arrive at the scheduling section of the campaign creation flow you will see the default option will be for the campaign to be sent based on a guest event and specifically based on when a guest qualifies for the selected segment.
Once you have verified the scheduling and reviewed the campaign click the SCHEDULE NOW button at the bottom of the review page or select SAVE to save the campaign and come back to it at a later date.
The campaign will be in Scheduling status while it processes the existing guests in the segment. It will begin sending promotions to guests after the status changes to “on”
Your Qualification campaign is now set. This campaign will now go out one time to a guest once a guest fulfills the criteria to have opted into the selected segment. This campaign will not be sent out to other members of the segment.
